News Flash: Analysts Just Made A Notable Upgrade To Their Allied Gold Corporation (TSE:AAUC) Forecasts
Allied Gold Corporation (TSE:AAUC) shareholders will have a reason to smile today, with the analysts making substantial upgrades to this year's statutory forecasts. The revenue forecast for this year has experienced a facelift, with the analysts now much more optimistic on its sales pipeline.
We've discovered 1 warning sign about Allied Gold. View them for free.Following the upgrade, the latest consensus from Allied Gold's six analysts is for revenues of US$1.2b in 2025, which would reflect a major 64% improvement in sales compared to the last 12 months. Losses are expected to turn into profits real soon, with the analysts forecasting US$0.73 in per-share earnings. Before this latest update, the analysts had been forecasting revenues of US$1.0b and earnings per share (EPS) of US$0.66 in 2025. The most recent forecasts are noticeably more optimistic, with a decent improvement in revenue estimates and a lift to earnings per share as well.

It will come as no surprise to learn that the analysts have increased their price target for Allied Gold 11% to US$5.93 on the back of these upgrades. There's another way to think about price targets though, and that's to look at the range of price targets put forward by analysts, because a wide range of estimates could suggest a diverse view on possible outcomes for the business. Currently, the most bullish analyst values Allied Gold at US$8.68 per share, while the most bearish prices it at US$4.05. Note the wide gap in analyst price targets? This implies to us that there is a fairly broad range of possible scenarios for the underlying business.
Another way we can view these estimates is in the context of the bigger picture, such as how the forecasts stack up against past performance, and whether forecasts are more or less bullish relative to other companies in the industry. The analysts are definitely expecting Allied Gold's growth to accelerate, with the forecast 64% annualised growth to the end of 2025 ranking favourably alongside historical growth of 11% per annum over the past three years. By contrast, our data suggests that other companies (with analyst coverage) in a similar industry are forecast to grow their revenue at 14% per year. Factoring in the forecast acceleration in revenue, it's pretty clear that Allied Gold is expected to grow much faster than its industry.
The Bottom Line
The biggest takeaway for us from these new estimates is that analysts upgraded their earnings per share estimates, with improved earnings power expected for this year. They also upgraded their revenue estimates for this year, and sales are expected to grow faster than the wider market. There was also an increase in the price target, suggesting that there is more optimism baked into the forecasts than there was previously. Seeing the dramatic upgrade to this year's forecasts, it might be time to take another look at Allied Gold.
