Mr. German is Chief Executive Officer, President and a Director of Corning Natural Gas Corporation since December 2006. Mr. German serves as the President of Ten Companies Inc. Mr. German served as Senior Vice President of Utility Operations at Southern Union Company from August 15, 2005 to 2006, where he was responsible for gas utility operations in Missouri, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. From 1994 to 2005, Mr. German served several senior positions at Energy East Corporation, a publicly-held energy services and delivery company, including President of several utilities. Mr. German served as President of Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation and Southern Connecticut Gas Company since May 2003. He served as the President of New Hampshire Gas and Maine Natural Gas. He served as Senior Vice President of Nyseg Gas from November 1994 to April 1997. He worked at the American Gas Association from 1978 to 1994 and served as its Director of Policy Coordination, Vice President of Planning and Analysis and Senior Vice President. He began his career with the U.S. Energy Research & Development Administration in 1976. He has been a Director of Neon Communications Inc. since September 2000. He is a Member of the D.C. Bar Association. Mr. German holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Trinity College in 1972, an MBA at Columbia University in 1974 and a Juris Doctorate at Boston University in 1979.
