(formerly BHOLD Company B.V.) from December 2010 to December 2012. From 2006 to 2010, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Cluster Competitiveness Group SA, where he worked with international development banks and organizations dedicated to economic growth globally. Prior to joining Elephant Security, Mr. Verweij held a variety of management positions from 2000 to 2009 including CEO of a Silicon Valley based technology development company and as an investment banker with vFinance Inc. Previously, he served for five years as Managing Director and Executive Vice President in charge of vFinance Consulting, where he opened its Northern California office and successfully closed numerous M&A deals, financings and consulting assignments for high tech clients. At Philips, he was responsible for the US commercialization of Philips’ vast intellectual property with which he built a profitable $300 million business. He speaks, reads and writes three languages.
