He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Hycroft Mining Corporation (Allied Nevada Gold Corp). from September 2006 to March 27, 2013. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer of Allied Nevada Gold Corp. from September 2006 to April 2007. He served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Kinross Gold Corp. from June 2002 to August 2006 and also served as its Senior Vice President of Surface Operations from June 1998 to March 2002. He oversaw the La Coipa and Maricunga gold mine operations. He is a mining engineer with over 30 years experience building and operating gold and base metal mines worldwide. Prior to joining Kinross, Mr. Caldwell served as a Vice President of Operations, Echo Bay Mines from 1996 to 1998 and Vice President of Operations of Compania Minera Dona Ines de Collahuasi from 1995 to 1996. He served as the President of Echo Bay Mines Ltd. since January 31, 2003. He has been a Director of Guyana Goldfields Inc. since June 2012. He served as Non-Executive Director at SolGold plc from September 9, 2016 to June 19, 2017. He served as a Director of Atacama Pacific Gold Corporation from September 2011 to October 30, 2015. He was a Director of Allied Nevada Gold Corp since September 22, 2006 until March 27, 2013. He served as a Director of Kinross Gold Corp., from March 3, 2003 to 2006. He served as a Director of Echo Bay Mines Ltd. since January 31, 2003. Mr. Caldwell holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Arizona.
