Recent News & Updates
Clorox Coming Off COVID High
Clorox shares are becoming more reasonably valued after a significant run-up as a COVID story stock last year. The vitamins, minerals, and supplements business is struggling while competitors are making gains in the space. An increase in U.S. corporate tax rates would have a significant impact on Clorox's bottom line. The underlying business is still attractive, but value and dividend growth investors should be patient and wait for a better entry point.

The company will likely face a number of headwinds over the next couple years that will likely hurt the company's growth and margins. The stock is overvalued using almost any metric given the limited future growth prospects the company's core businesses face.

The Clorox Company was set up for greatness during the COVID-19 pandemic. But margin contraction and competitive pressures are mounting, and the company's balance sheet won't support these headwinds intensifying. As a result, I have turned bearish on the company's long-term prospects.
