Mr. Charles Laurence Carroll is a Deputy Chairman and Head of Global Marketing since 2004 at Lazard Asset Management LLC, and previously was a Senior Vice President since 1993. Mr. Carroll joined the firm in 1993, oversees global marketing efforts in the institutional, financial institutions, and private client arenas, and is responsible for the distribution of funds at the firm. Previously at the firm, he was responsible for marketing investment solutions to financial institutions worldwide. Prior to this, Mr. Carroll served as First Vice President and Consulting Services Director at Shearson Lehman Brothers, where he trained financial consultants and managed institutional account relationships. He started his investment career in 1987, becoming a Vice President and National Product Manager at Shearson Asset Management. The fund invests in the public equity and fixed income markets across the globe. It invests in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. The fund invests in stocks of companies across all market capitalizations. It employs fundamental analysis with a bottom-up stock picking approach, while focusing on factors such as income statement, cash flow statement, balance sheet analysis to build its portfolio. The fund will also invest 33 1/2% of its leveraged assets in emerging market currencies, debt obligations, including government, government agency and corporate obligations and structured notes denominated in emerging market currencies through the use of financial leverage. It benchmarks the performance of its portfolio against the MSCI All Country World Index. Lazard World Dividend & Income Fund Inc. was formed on June 28, 2005 and is domiciled in the United States.
