Mr. Kevin P. Traenkle is the Chief Executive Officer, Director and President of the Colony NorthStar Credit Real Estate, Inc. since January 29, 2018. He has been the Chief Investment Officer of Colony Capital, Inc. (formerly, Colony NorthStar, Inc.) since June 2009 and serves as its Executive Vice President. He was an Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer for Colony Capital. Mr. Traenkle serves as Chief Investment Officer of Colony Financial Manager, LLC. Since January 2005, he is a Principal of Colony Capital, LLC, where he is involved in many facets of its activities including: distressed debt initiatives, investment and divestment decisions, business development and global client relations. At Colony, he is responsible for the global client relations activities, distressed debt initiatives, investment and divestment decisions and business development. He served as Vice President of Acquisitions of Colony Capital. Previously, he was Vice President at Colony Capital serving as a member of the acquisitions team and was responsible for the identification, evaluation, consummation and management of investments. Before rejoining Colony Capital in 2002, Mr. Traenkle worked for Pacific Capital Group, where he was responsible for real estate-related investment and management activities. Prior to joining Colony Capital in 1993, he was employed in the Municipal Finance department at First Albany Corporation. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1992 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
