NVR announces $500M stock buyback plan
NVR (NYSE:NVR) has announced a stock repurchase program to buyback $500M of its outstanding common stock. The latest authorization is a continuation of the stock repurchase program that began in 1994. Consistent with prior authorizations, this new authorization prohibits the company from purchasing shares from its officers, directors, Profit Sharing/401(k) Plan Trust or Employee Stock Ownership Plan Trust. As of Aug. 1, 2022, NVR (NVR) had 3,282,665 total shares of common stock outstanding. Last week, NVR (NVR) shares fell after the homebuilder's Q2 earnings missed Wall Street expectations, driven by a Y/Y slump in new orders as well as a higher cancellation rate.
