Bochnowski, also known as Ben, has been the Chief Operating Officer of Peoples Bank SB (Munster, IN) since August 1, 2013 and served as Chief Operating Officer of its holding company Northwest Indiana Bancorp and has been its President since January 15, 2015 and has also been its Chief Executive Officer since April 28, 2016. Mr. Bochnowski served as Executive Vice President of Peoples Bank SB (Munster, IN) and Northwest Indiana Bancorp from August 1, 2013 to January 15, 2015. Since joining Peoples in 2010, he held bank-wide responsibility for project management, strategic planning and enterprise risk management. Prior to this, he served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Risk. He serves as Director of Peoples Bank SB. He is a Board Member at the Dunes National Park Association. He serves on Board of Directors of Department of Financial Institutions (DFI), which was appointed by Governor Holcomb in March 2019. He volunteers with the Boys & Girls Club and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program for low-income individuals. He is a Director of Northwest Indiana Bancorp since 2014. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, followed by an MBA from ESADE business school in Barcelona, Spain. He is a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking with a Leadership Certificate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

The company also offers estate and retirement planning services, guardianships, land trusts, profit sharing and 401(k) retirement plans, IRA and Keogh accounts, and investment agency accounts, as well as serves as the personal representative of estates, and acts as trustee for revocable and irrevocable trusts. Further, it provides insurance and annuity investments to wealth management customers; holds real estate properties; and operates as a real estate investment trust.
