This Insider Has Just Sold Shares In PNC Financial Services Group
We wouldn't blame The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. (NYSE:PNC) shareholders if they were a little worried about the fact that E. Parsley, the Executive VP & COO recently netted about US$1.3m selling shares at an average price of US$176. However, that sale only accounted for 3.7% of their holding, so arguably it doesn't say much about their conviction.

The Independent Lead Director, Andrew Feldstein, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$6.3m worth of shares at a price of US$210 each. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (US$173). So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels.
