Ms. Mary Ann Scully is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Howard Bank and Howard Bancorp, Inc. She is a lifelong banker with over 30 years of varied executive experiences in the Maryland marketplace. In 2003, she headed the organizing team for Bank. She was President of Howard Bank till 2018. She was Chair of the Maryland Bankers Association and Chair of the Community Foundation of Howard County. She is a Trustee and President of the Board of Associated Catholic Charities, a Trustee and Corporate campaign Co-Chair of Kennedy Krieger Institute and a Trustee of Mount St Joseph College/High School. She is a Trustee for the Community Foundation of Howard County Real Estate Board and a Member of the UMBC Board of Visitors. She also serves as a Board Member of the Baltimore Federal Reserve and a Community Advisory Board Member for the FDIC. She has served as a Member of the Maryland Economic Development and Business Climate Commission. She is an Active Member of St. Louis Parish in Clarksville, Maryland. She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Maryland. In 2007, she was recognized as an Honoree in the Howard County Women’s Hall of Fame; she was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Howard County Chamber of Commerce. She received the Howard County “Good Scout” award from the Baltimore Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America in 2011. In 2002, 2005 and 2007, she was recognized as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women by The Daily Record, was a 2008, 2012 and 2016 Daily Record Influential Marylander, a 2012, 2015 and 2016 Most Admired CEO and was a winner of a 2012 Trailblazer Award presented by the Baltimore Center Club. She is a Loyola University Alumni laureate and a Seton Hill University Distinguished Alumna. She was named one of the Top 25 Women to Watch in Banking by the American Banker in 2016.

Howard Bancorp, Inc. operates as the bank holding company for Howard Bank that provides commercial banking, mortgage banking, and consumer finance products and services to businesses, business owners, professionals, and other consumers. The company offers various consumer and business deposit products, including demand, money market, savings, individual retirement, and commercial and retail checking accounts, as well as certificates of deposit. It also provides commercial loans, such as lines of credit, revolving credit facilities, accounts receivable and inventory financing, term loans, equipment loans, small business administration loans, stand-by letters of credit, and unsecured loans; commercial mortgage loans for owner occupied and investment properties; construction loans; residential mortgage loans; and secured and unsecured consumer loans. In addition, the company offers wire transfer services; automated teller machines and check cards; and safe deposit boxes, as well as credit cards through a third party processor. Further, it provides Internet banking, merchant card, overnight sweep, and remote deposit capture services; and Mobiliti mobile banking, PopMoney, and eStatement products. As of December 31, 2018, the company operated through a network of 21 full service branches, as well as 11 mortgage and commercial lending offices located in Maryland.
