Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that Peter Karlströmer, who is a company insider, recently bought kr78k worth of stock, for kr131 per share. Although the purchase is not a big one, increasing their shareholding by only 3.7%, it can be interpreted as a good sign.

Securitas Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In fact, the recent purchase by Peter Karlströmer was the biggest purchase of Securitas shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. That implies that an insider found the current price of kr133 per share to be enticing. That means they have been optimistic about the company in the past, though they may have changed their mind. If someone buys shares at well below current prices, it's a good sign on balance, but keep in mind they may no longer see value. I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. Usually, the higher the insider ownership, the more likely it is that insiders will be incentivised to build the company for the long term. From our data, it seems that Securitas insiders own 0.1% of the company, worth about kr73m. We do note, however, it is possible insiders have an indirect interest through a private company or other corporate structure. We do generally prefer see higher levels of insider ownership.
