NIIT Learning Systems Insiders Sell ₹80m Of Stock, Possibly Signalling Caution
Quite a few NIIT Learning Systems Limited (NSE:NIITMTS) insiders sold their shares over the past year, which may be a cause for concern. When analyzing insider transactions, it is usually more valuable to know whether insiders are buying versus knowing if they are selling, as the latter sends an ambiguous message. However, shareholders should take a deeper look if several insiders are selling stock over a specific time period.
Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.
NIIT Learning Systems Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the insider, Rajan Venkataraman, for ₹21m worth of shares, at about ₹420 per share. So what is clear is that an insider saw fit to sell at around the current price of ₹398. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. Given that the sale took place at around current prices, it makes us a little cautious but is hardly a major concern.
