The company’s principal property is the Proyecto Riotinto project, an open-pit copper mine located in the Andalusia region of Spain. It produces copper concentrates, including silver by-products. The company was formerly known as EMED Mining Public Limited and changed its name to Atalaya Mining Plc in October 2015. Atalaya Mining Plc was incorporated in 2004 and is based in Nicosia, Cyprus.
