Warpaint London Insiders UK£307k Short Of Breakeven On Stock Purchase
Insiders who purchased UK£587.2k worth of Warpaint London PLC (LON:W7L) shares over the past year recouped some of their losses after price gained 10% last week. The purchase, however, has proven to be a pricey bet, with losses currently totalling UK£307k.
While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.
Warpaint London Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when MD & Executive Director Eoin MacLeod bought UK£250k worth of shares at a price of UK£5.10 per share. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of UK£2.40. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when insiders have purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price.
