It is hard to get excited after looking at Instone Real Estate Group's (ETR:INS) recent performance, when its stock has declined 37% over the past three months. On the face of it, Instone Real Estate Group's ROE is not much to talk about. A quick further study shows that the company's ROE doesn't compare favorably to the industry average of 10% either. However, we we're pleasantly surprised to see that Instone Real Estate Group grew its net income at a significant rate of 56% in the last five years. Therefore, there could be other reasons behind this growth. Such as - high earnings retention or an efficient management in place.
Next, on comparing with the industry net income growth, we found that Instone Real Estate Group's growth is quite high when compared to the industry average growth of 9.8% in the same period, which is great to see.

In total, it does look like Instone Real Estate Group has some positive aspects to its business. With a high rate of reinvestment, albeit at a low ROE, the company has managed to see a considerable growth in its earnings.
