Mr. Beekhuizen has extensive international executive leadership experience in the construction and energy industries. He served as Senior Vice President of Construction and Materials at Granite Construction Incorporated from June 2015 to September 16, 2015. Mr. Beekhuizen served as the President of Construction & Fabrication at Fluor Corporation. He oversees Fluor’s construction & fabrication business. He is responsible for developing and leveraging functional services and excellence, skilled resources, strategic business relationships, fabrication yard operations and self-perform solutions for the benefit of Fluor’s business lines. He served as Fluor Canada’s Regional Vice President of Construction, as well as supported Fluor Global Services in a similar construction leadership capacity. He held various executive position at AltaGas Ltd., Granite Construction Incorporated, Fluor Canada Ltd., Husky Energy and URS/Flint Energy Services. Prior to joining Fluor in 2011, he held executive management positions at Husky Energy and URS/Flint. He is experienced in leadership assignments with both Client and contractor organizations in project and construction management, fabrication, business development and field operations for large-scale industrial developments. He also chairs Fluor Corporation’s construction board, as well as Supreme Modular Fabrication Inc. He is a participant in community volunteer services. He has coaching certifications and prior roles in minor hockey, lacrosse and baseball. He has also served on charter school board, education and finance committees. He is a professional engineer. Mr. Beekhuizen holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering specializing in Project Management from the University of Calgary.
