Insider Buyers At Audinate Group Recover Some Losses, But Still Down AU$14k
Insiders who purchased AU$99.6k worth of Audinate Group Limited (ASX:AD8) shares over the past year recouped some of their losses after price gained 10% last week. However, the purchase is proving to be an expensive wager as insiders are yet to get ahead of their losses which currently stand at AU$14k since the time of purchase.
While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.
Audinate Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Independent Non-Executive Chairman Alison Ledger bought AU$100k worth of shares at a price of AU$4.99 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than AU$4.28 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. It is encouraging to see an insider paid above the current price for shares, as it suggests they saw value, even at higher levels. Alison Ledger was the only individual insider to buy during the last year.
